Talk: Starting a business from students and academics/scientists from non-EU-countries

Online via Zoom13.06.2025 14:30 - 15:30 Uhr
  • Host: Worms University
Talk/Speech

Students and academics/scientiests from non-EU countries can start their own business - already during their studies/work and also after they have finished their studies/work.

Starting a business can be attractive for you. As a self-employed person, you decide yourself when, how and where you work. You can realise your own ideas. Maybe you already have a business idea and are ready to put it into practice. And now you ask yourself: What steps do I have to take? Which authorities do I have to ask? Who can help me? For this, it is important to know which visa is needed and which requirements have to be fulfilled.

In this event, we would like to show you what options you have, which residence permit you need and how you can get this residence permit.

Together with the "Startup-Center" of the university, we would like to show you who can support you and what you need to do, when you develop your own business plan.

Guest: Dr. Ralf Sänger, IQ network (Mainz)
